Look who's baaaaacckkkk! The one and only well not really Rick Ross returns on the scene with a new album and an iron fist. Rick has now bid farewell to his long time record label Slip-N-Slide and will be releasing his upcoming album off of his very own label, Maybach Music Group. The album entitled Deeper Than Rap is according to Ross, 85% completed and is scheduled for an April 7th release.

Within the next week or so, our ears will be introduced to Ross' first released single off of the album which is slated to be a collaboration between him and the R&B piano prince John Legend entitled "I'm The Magnificent". This single of course is the calm before the storm.

In a phone interview with MTV, Ross discussed the single "Mafia Music" which is slated to make its debut after "I'm The Magnificent"; let's just say he presses that it will surely stain a few North Faces and scuff a couple of Timb's (if you know what I mean; and to those of you who don't, in layman's terms, he's going to make some people REALLY mad),

I can't lie: I'm dropping the B-side. It's titled 'Mafia Music' and it's gonna cause a lot of problems," he explained. "It's a scathing four-and-half-minute nonstop flow, me being autobiographical about my life and my come-up and my triumph. Of course, I had to address a few things, I had to address a few people. I love it. The thing is, some people are gonna be — um — they're gonna be f---ed up. That's the best way I can put it.

This is mighty brave of Rick Ross to show his face after his exposure by The Smoking Gun. I thought he would be on the same island as Young Buck hiding out as a result of unpleasant and career shattering embarrassment; I am impressed. We will soon see if Rick Ross' fans are as loyal as they claim to have been.

In other music news, Virgin Megstore in Times Square has met its demise. The music retailer will be closing their doors on the Time Square location to make way for the teen favorite clothing store, Forever 21 (sigh). The Union Square location will be the last and only Virgin building to remain in New York. To read more on this click here.
