
The "King of Country", George Strait, has announced a nineteen city tour starting at the First Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland on January 22, 2010 and closing at the I A Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa on April 10. Strait will be joined on the tour by a major talent in her own right; Reba McEntire.
The announcement was made on the performers respective web sites.
However, as of Nov. 4, a representative of the marketing department at First Mariner arena was unable to confirm the show date of January 22 and tickets have yet to be released for sale.
It is suggested that fans contact First Mariner Arena directly at 410-347-2010 and/or consult this column to update the status of the release of tickets. When tickets are released for sale, they may be purchased in person at the 1st Mariner Arena Box Office, or all Ticketmaster locations, charge-by-phone at 410-547-SEAT or online at www.ticketmaster.com Service charges apply.

Each performer will be singing selections from their new albums; "Twang" which debut at # 1on the Billboard 200 Album Charts for Strait and "Keep On Loving You" for McEntire which also saw time at # 1 on the Billboard 200 Album Charts . Dozens of songs from their long lists # 1 country hits and multi-platinum albums are sure to be performed.
The show promises to be a night to remember for country music fans of all ages, with two veteran performers, both joined by their great bands.
