Blogger's theory on why dealerships were closed down
With the closing of many Chrysler, Jeep, Chevrolet, and G.M dealerships that use to be so prominent in the New Jersey area, it makes one wonder why? With all the major media outlets reporting the stories that cars are not’t selling, or these dealerships needed to consolidate, it’s a real wonder that in such a short time 92 dealerships closed and almost 6,000 jobs had to be lost. In a tough economy everyone suffers, not just one group of automakers. Did all those dealerships need to be closed and with them many jobs lost? Well if these dealerships were producing, as many of them said they were what reason could there be?
Internet bloggers have a different theory on why dealerships were closed down, not just in New Jersey but through out the nation. There are numerous claims that almost 80% of the dealerships were closed due to their political affiliation. “
To quickly review the situation, I took all dealer owners whose names appeared more than once in the list. And, of those who contributed to political campaigns, every single one had donated almost exclusively to GOP candidates. While this is not't an exhaustive review, it does have some ominous implications if it can be verified.”http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2009/05/red-alert-did-campaign-contributions.html. This all could just be propaganda started by ignorant bloggers, however it makes the realization come to light that the U.S Government now owns 60% of G.M, and maybe theories like these are to far fetched.
