If you're like me, hearing a duet by two talented singers is like the satisfaction of a Reese's cup...two great tastes that taste great together. That's why when I heard the buzz about a possible collaboration between Chris Daughtry and Kelly Clarkson, I was positively giddy. Still, the question remains--are they or aren't they? No one will confirm, but this suspicious photo did show up on music producer Howard Benson's MySpace page, although it has since been removed. I opened Kelly's recent blog post like a kid on Christmas morning, hoping for a morsel of information on the possible pairing. Unfortunately, it was mostly about her cooking prowess and adoration for Pink.
Daughtry's album has been rumored to be a bit delayed, but if One Republic's frontman, Ryan Tedder, is right, Kelly's album is going to be tops. JoJo, the KIIS deejay in Los Angeles, asked Tedder in an interview about Kelly's album, which he has been working on, and he had this to say: "Maaaan, it's..she's gonna have..I mean, I'm a little biased, cause I'm workin' on it, but, I think she's gonna have the best album yet." It's not the most eloquent statment, but he got his point across!
What's with all the secrecy? Either it is just a rumor (sniff), or it's a combination so powerful, the Idol World, nay, the universe, will be altered.
