According to the release, this means that the jersey should be worn on the annual Black Friday afternoon game. This year that game is November 28 at 1:00 pm against Carolina. If you remember correctly, the last third jersey that the Flyers had was first worn on that Black Friday game a number of years ago.
I think that this new look is pretty special. Unlike the last third jersey, it doesn't try to do too much. It just works based on the franchise's heritage. It is almost an exact replica of the 1973-74 jerseys in which they won the Stanley Cup. I especially like the white namestrip on the back... that is something that was original to the Flyers, and I am glad they brought that back.
