From the Cats Rule! Feline Rescue Website

We’re always looking for new shelters or rescue missions to spotlight, so we were very grateful when DC’s own Dog Examiner sent us information on Cats Rule! Feline Rescue, located in Fairfax, VA.

Run solely by dedicated volunteers, Cats Rule! is a feline rescue dedicated to saving cats from hard circumstances—including homelessness and serious medical problems. They especially have a heart for cats and kittens that were born homeless and have never known the security of a loving home.

While the volunteers of Cats Rule! will oftentimes take in multiple foster cats, the Cats Rule! website puts it best when it says “[w]e help a lot of animals but there are still thousands that need the intervention of a kind Samaritan for their very survival. Not everyone can take in 10 or 20 animals & give them a loving home. But they can help animals by supporting local rescue groups.”

Sadly, in these economic times, shelters and rescue missions are some of the most hard-hit enterprises, making it hard for shelters and rescue missions to continue their mission of saving lives. Cats Rule! Feline Rescue is no exception: Without the help of dedicated foster families and financial supporters, they will be unable to take in any new cats or kittens.

Most importantly however, Cats Rule! has a wide variety of lovable cats for adoption. If you are thinking about bringing a cat into your home, please check out Cats Rule! or other rescue missions such as HART and PAW before adopting from a pet store. You can also check out your local shelter to give loving cats the home they deserve.
