Today, March 7th, and tomorrow, March 8th, there will be two HART adoption events for dogs and cats in the Northern Virginia area.

I don't want to beg or plead, but I do ask that you seriously consider giving one of these wonderful animals a home. If you're not able to adopt a pet right now, why not consider volunteering your time or making a donation to an organization like HART or PAW (Partnership for Animal Welfare)? Either gift would be appreciated by the HART and PAW staff, and would be especially appreciated by the animals currently waiting to find their forever home. 

The information for the dog adoption event is as follows: 

This is Perri, one of the dogss available for adoption. Perri is a special needs pet who has lost most of her vision. She is very friendly, and loves to sit in the lap of her foster mom. Perri would be a perfect pet for someone who is older and looking for a loving companion. To learn more about Perri, please vist the HART website.

The information for the cat adoption event is as follows:

This is Sesame, one of the cats available for adoption. Called a "distinguished gentleman" on the HART website, Sesame is a Persian who was given to HART after his owner was placed in a nursing home. He is sweet as can be, and would make a perfect companion for an older couple or a single person looking for a calm cat companion. To learn more about Sesame, please visit the HART website.
