Jermaine Jackson became the official spokesperson for the Jackson family yesterday and he told how the paramedics tried to resuscitate his brother for over an hour.
He also stated a loving message to Michael: "And Allah be with you Michael, always. I love you."
Today, that message is getting almost as much attention as the death of Michael Jackson.
Why "Allah?" is the question some are asking.
Jermaine, whose name in Islam is Muhammad Abdul Aziz, is a devout Muslim.
Some are criticizing Jermaine for using his religion in the press conference to refer to Michael.
Why?
Because some controversy exists as to whether or not Michael Jackson himself was a true Muslim.
Yet, the evidence shows that he may have converted in 2006 after pledging to erect a mosque in his adopted home of Bahrain.
Shortly thereafter, Jackson earned planning permission to construct a ten-story building just outside Manama on land adjoining the palace of the Bahraini royal family.
Jackson, a former Jehovah’s Witness, had spent a considerable time living abroad and exploring world religions.
