Tim Burton to adapt cult 1960's TV soap, 'Dark Shadows'

Shall I say it again? Vampires are so hot right now.
Rumor has it, after working together on the upcoming Alice and Wonderland, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp will collaborate yet again on an adaptation of the 1960's TV melodrama, Dark Shadows. Considering all I know about the show is that it's an incredibly wooden, black and white soap opera about vampires with a cult following that rivals that of Star Trek - in quality, not quantity, of course - I'm ticking with curiosity about how Burton the visionary will make it his own. I guess we don't have to wonder about Depp's performance as a vampire since he pretty much looks like one already. Have I mentioned vampires are hot?
