- Shoreline Solar Fest Saturday, July 18, 10am-8pm at Meridian Park School. Scheduled events include solar exhibits, a kids zone, live music, art displays, demonstrations, movies and more.
- Seattle Tilth Family Day in the Garden Saturday, July 18, 12pm-2pm at the Pickering Barn Garden is Issaquah. Visit the new teaching garden, attend a mini- workshop on container veggie gardening and let the kids enjoy a puppet show and musical performance.
- Issaquah Sustainable Movie Night: "King Corn" Wednesday, July 22, 6pm-9pm at the Seattle Public Library Services Center. In addition to the free movie there will be informational tables, discussions by a panel of experts, refreshments by PCC and door prizes.
- Healthy Home Workshop by Second Use Thursday, July 23, 6pm-8pm at the Second Use store in Seattle. Space is limited and attendees must RSVP by contacting Carrie at (206) 763-6929 or email carrie@seconduse.com.
- The Re Store is offering free workshops at their Seattle store on Saturday, July 25 including: Creative Use in the Yard & Garden from 11am-12pm and Salvaged Window Installation from 1pm-2:30pm. The store is also celebrating their 10th birthday with The Re Store Reuse Revival Saturday, August 22, 9am-6pm. The public is invited to enjoy fun activities and beverages provided by Honest Tea.
- Ecohaus in Seattle has several free events scheduled. Learn eco friendly techniques at the Furniture Refinishing Workshop Saturday, July 25, at 1pm. The E Waste Recycling and Waste Alternatives Event is Wednesday, July 29, 4pm-8pm and includes fun activities along with a chance to recycle your unwanted electronic items.
