Disney star Vanessa Hudgens likes what she sees in the mirror and works hard to look and feel her best. In addition to doing Pilates, Hudgens works out with a personal trainer and cycles regularly.
Vanessa, who became a teen sensation after starring in the 2006 film High School Musical, takes one-hour Pilates classes four times a week and hits the cardio machines to burn fat.
“I just did this fitness class that’s a cross between boxing and pilates with weight gloves,” Hudgens, 20, recently told Self. “You jump around and throw punches. It was pretty intense.” The best part of the class? Hanging with her BFFs, natch!
“I went with Ashley Tisdale and Haylie Duff," said Vanessa. "Haylie’s been doing it for a while, but I definitely kept up. I like to work out with friends."
For diet, Hudgens tries to limit carbs and sugar, but confesses she's a chocolate junkie (who isn't?). Not surprisingly, Vanessa's longtime boyfriend Zac Efron is a fitness fanatic.
Efron, 21, regularly goes to L.A. Fitness gym to work out, where he does intense circuit and weight training. The athletic Zac, who once dreamt of being a professional baseball player, also enjoys backpacking, hiking, surfing, swimming and tennis.
Vanessa and Zac, who attended the Teen Choice Awards Aug. 9 (where they were entertained by a pole-dancing Miley Cyrus), have denied rumors they are engaged and planning to marry this fall.
Vanessa's new movie Bandslam is in theaters now.
