No, not for political offices. It's nearing that time of year when eligible members (Life and above, or members for five consecutive years) get to elect candidates for the NRA Board of Directors.
But there's a problem. Per The Firearms Coalition:
By most counts, less than five percent of eligible membership take the time to vote. And a significant number of those few who do vote simply look at the Nominating Committee list and robotically mark their ballot...
They propose a solution of sorts:
On our GunVoter Forum (http://www.GunVoter.org) we have set up a forum for the NRA elections. Are you running for the NRA Board of Directors? Do you know someone who is running? Do you know how to contact a candidate? We need to talk. Please pay a visit to GunVoter.org.
Why?
The days of the “Russian election” system where the Nominating Committee provided a list of 25 names for 25 openings are gone. But in the past decade, the members have exerted steadily less influence on the make-up of the Board, and hence, on how the staff executes. As we enter the most dangerous time in fifty years for the Second Amendment, we don’t need an NRA that is moderate in its defense of liberty.
The forum NRA Elections link is here. On it, you will find relevant topics, including:

Does It Matter?
Board Candidate: Joseph P. DeBergalis, Jr.

Board Candidate: George Kollitides

Suggested NRA Board Candidate Questions
Go ahead and spend some time there, particularly if you're a voting member. Tomorrow, barring any major developments that push this to the back burner, I'll tell you about a questionnaire I've been publishing (with absolutely no success) since 2005, and why this is important..

Len on Lou
Savage on Dobbs, that is. Len Savage will be on the Lou Dobbs Radio Show today at 4:15 PM EST to discuss this latest bit of folderol from Rep. Eliot Engel (D, NY), demanding, among other things, stopping semiauto, ammunition, parts and curios imports.
Yeah, that'll stop violence in Mexico. Good grief.
I notice Engel's subversive manifesto is signed by all democrats except for this...fine gentleman. As long as gun owners tolerate republican betrayals, they'll continue to enable them.
The Dobbs site has a "Listen Live" button, so do it.

Waiting to be heard
Per Arizona Citizens Defense League:
While the Legislature has been focusing on the budget, almost no attention has been paid to non-budget bills, yet the deadline for a bill to be heard in committee is March 13th. There over 1,000 bills that need to pass out of a committee in the next 4 weeks to stay in play. Virtually all firearms related bills are in this huge stack of bills waiting to be heard.
See the rest of their Feb. 13 alert and what you can do by clicking here.
