The Lake County Fair will be held July 28 – August 2, 2009. The fair will be held at the new fairgrounds, located at the corner of Peterson Rd.. and Midlothian Rd. in Grayslake, Illinois. The Lake County Fair is a family friendly event featuring entertainment,
midway rides, agricultural, animals, food, fun and more.
The entire family can get in on the fun, with varied entertainment including concerts, a battle of the bands, a talent contest, children's stage, PRCA rodeo, demolition derby, pro motocross, beer garden, livestock auction, truck and tractor pulls, rides and a petting zoo.
The county fair is an event that is entertaining and educational, giving children a chance to see farm animals and to learn about agriculture.

The gates open at 8 am daily. The Expo center and Exhibit Building opens at 1 pm. The Midway opens at 12 pm (noon). The midway closes at 11:30 pm Tuesday – Saturday and 10 pm on Sunday.
The new Lake County Fairgrounds are located at 1060 E. Peterson Road, Grayslake, Illinois 60030 (corner Peterson Rd. and Midlothian Rd.)
