Frontier Days is the Fourth of July Festival in Arlington Heights, Illinois, in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. The Independence Day celebration stretches over five days, beginning on Wednesday, July 1 and running through Sunday, RAWKU5 sxc, FireworksJuly 5. Arlington Park will be lighting up the skies of the Northwest suburbs with the Independence Day Fireworks at dusk on Friday, July 3.

 Independence Day weekend festivities in Arlington Heights include a parade, fireworks, music, games, arts and crafts, a carnival and Taste of Arlington Heights. Frontier Days is a free family friendly festival with entertainment for kids and adults.
The Fourth of July Parade, called Land of Lincoln: 200 years of Pioneer Spirit; will be held on Saturday, July 4, starting at 10 am. The parade steps off at Dunton and Oakton Streets and travels south on Dunton to Miner and turns east to Recreation Park.
There is a full schedule of family friendly entertainment for kids and adults. Music will play on festival stages during the entire festival. The Main Stage Headliners are as follows.

  • July 3 at 8 pm Eddie Money
  • July 4 at 8 pm Cherry Poppin’ Daddies
  • July 5 at 7:30 pm American English

Fireworks at Arlington Park July 3
Arlington Park lights of the skies of the northwest suburbs every year in honor of Independence Day. The gates to Arlington Park open at 11:15 am and the First Post Time is 4 PM. After the horse races and done for the day, the Independence Day celebration begins. General Admission tickets $3. You must be inside by 7:30 pm. The parking lot and entrance to the park will be closed at 7:30. The fireworks start at dusk and will be visible in the surrounding area.
 On Saturday, July 4, Arlington Park will have Independence Fest, a celebration of the day our country declared itself a sovereign nation.
