Buying textbooks online 101: save money!

Are your college textbooks going to cost you a bundle? Or are you a homeschooling parent who wants to save money on your curriculum?
Either way, you should know that the internet offers many options for buying, selling, and even renting textbooks.
Of course, it’s easier to just go to the campus bookstore and pay top dollar for everything. However, a little extra research can save you a lot of money!
First of all, it's very important that when purchasing or listing books, you use the ISBN number. If you buy or sell the book based on the title alone, you could end up with the wrong edition.
As far as buying books, there is a great website that searches all the other websites to tell you who has the lowest price. All you have to do is go to www.campusbooks.com and type in the ISBN number. The list of sellers, prices, and website addresses shows up. This website also has a section for selling books.
Most of the books that I have bought and sold in the past have been through amazon.com. You can keep the book listed as long as you like, and there is no charge until you sell the book. Amazon keeps a small percentage of your sale before sending money to your bank account.
Just go to Amazon.com and follow the easy instructions for setting up a seller’s account. Make sure that you set your price as the lowest price, and check your inventory daily so that you can adjust your price if someone else undercuts you.
Over the years, I have saved thousands of dollars by spending the extra time to buy low and sell as I can!
