In the following months, stay alert of a plethora of music releases. This week John Mayer (who is allegedly back with Jennifer Aniston) released the first single off his new album Battle Studies, “Who Says”. The album will be released on November 17th. The single is already in the top 5 in the iTunes chart.

Mayer’s last album Continuum is currently the fifth best-selling digital album with 425,000 downloads.

One Republic debuts their single “Secrets”, a melancholic ride a-la “Apologize (with Timbaland)", which will be part of their new album, Waking Up, also released on November 17th. “Apologize” has sold close to 10 million copies worldwide. Ryan Tedder, the band’s frontman, is behind such hits as current top 20 “Already Gone”, by Kelly Clarkson; top 10 tracks like “Battlefield” (Jordin Sparks), “Halo” (Beyonce), “Love Like This” (Natasha Bedingfield); the #1 hit “Bleeding Love” by Leona Lewis and new tracks including the Backstreet Boys’ “Undone”.

Mika premiered his new video for promo single: “Blame It on the Girls” longer than this week, but the video is too good to pass. The song precedes the release of the official second single “Rain” (release date to be announced).

American Music Award nominee Daughtry’s new single “Life After You” had its video premiere this week. The track has already sold close to 20,000 downloads in the US and UK before its release. The track follows the success of first single “No Surprise” which peaked at #15 on the Billboard 100 and #1 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks.

The album, from which the song is taken, Leave This Town, hit the #1 spot when it was released back in July and has sold over 2 million copies worldwide. Overall, Daughtry has sold an excess of 10 million albums worldwide.
