American Idol summer tour in San Diego tonight...Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and the top ten finalists, unfortunately, will not be including any of the Hawaiian Islands in their summer tour, which opened in Oregon, and has made its way to San Diego, California tonight.

Yes, we get to live in paradise, but when it comes to concerts and big name music groups,  the Hawaiian Islands, due to their smaller population, and lack of accessibility, get left off the tour circuit, nine time out of ten.

A rare treat will happen when Sting comes, or I can name an assorted few, but for the most part, The Aloha State will be left out of the action, much to our dismay.

So we will have to listen to reports from our mainland friends when it comes to this Idol tour as so many other major entertainment events, pass us by.

There are lots of great reasons to live on the Hawaiian Islands, but when it comes to the music tours, major art exhibits and the like, we pale in comparison to the mainland.
