The offensive tackle tandem of the future appears to be set for the Iowa Hawkeyes football team. Rivals.com reports today that highly-touted recruit Andrew Donnal has committed to the program, making him the second top 40 tackle to do so in the past week.

Donnal - a mammoth 6-foot-7, 280-pound lineman out of Anthony Wayne High School in Whitehouse, Ohio – is an ESPN Top 150 talent who displays impressive mobility and footwork for a player of his enormous stature.

A self-proclaimed Ohio State fan, Donnal told Rivals that when he first visited Iowa he enjoyed it because, “It’s a big line school. Some of the best linemen go there, so it was an honor to (visit).”

A litany of big time scholarship offers was available to Donnal, including ones from Michigan, Michigan State, Virginia, Maryland and Boston College. He joins Brandon Scherff (Denison, Iowa), a 6-foot-6, 295-pound tackle recruit who committed to Iowa last week, in a 2010 recruiting class that already boasts ten verbal commitments.
