Keep Makeup Matte This Summer
For those of us that live in any of the hot humid southern states, we all know how hard it is to keep our face makeup matte. The instant we step out the door makeup is sliding down our faces. For women and teens that don’t have to worry about sweaty sticky makeup faces in the summer that must really be nice.
Wouldn’t it be perfect if all women had perfectly matte skin with or without makeup? Learning how to get this is easy, it just takes some common sense and a few powder makeup products. I will explain how to keep your face matte for hours a day with or without makeup. I know you Gulf Coast women will love this makeup article.
It isn’t news to anyone that you can locate makeup brands like Revlon, M.A.C. Cosmetics, and Estee Lauder each having a specific matte foundation base makeup product. These matte foundation makeup products can allow skin to look oil free all day. But these makeup products can be extremely harsh to delicate facial skin due to the chemical cosmetic ingredients that act like latex paint.
Latex paint is nice on the walls of your home. The paint seals in and out dirt, grime, and liquids keeping everything it’s applied to looking great. For a house that is. Applying these chemical foundation matte makeup type products to your skin is a different story.
First, chemical matte foundations can keep skin from breathing causing breakouts and more oil since skin is trying harder to breath and can’t. Secondly, what woman wants to have a mannequin-like pasty face with tell tale lines, and fake looking skin? Probably not a lot of you out there, but it is seen often and it’s not really the look you’re seeking. Though it will get you noticed.
How about applying more loose powder over the top of greasy shiny summer faces, is that the answer to matte summer makeup? No it’s not, but many women do that also, not realizing they are just adding more aging layers of makeup, while sealing in bacteria from the day.
