Donna Dodson sculpture
Earth Mother, 20" tall, mulberry wood, 2009 by Donna Dodson

A few years ago sculptor Donna Dodson had an idea to gather artists together to discuss art, and the business of being an artist. Her idea became The Art Salon Boston, a weekly discussion group with a dedicated following. The Salon has developed into an open group of artists in the greater Boston area that meets monthly to discuss all aspects of the visual arts, poetry, music, architecture, crafts, dance, performance, theater, and creative writing. They share with each other creative and professional opportunities, announcements of upcoming shows and information on technical resources.

Coming up on Saturday and Sunday, March 28th and 29th several artists of the Salon will present their work to the public in their 3rd Annual Open House and Open Studio. The event takes place from 11am to 6pm each day at Dodson's studio, 93 Forest Hills Street in Jamaica Plain. Featured in this show will be work by:

Jocelyn Almy-Testa
June August
Gloria Carrigg
Robin Chandler
Clara Angelina Diaz
Donna Dodson
Kathleen Fink
Chuck Lathrop
Jeannine Hunter Lazarro
Lynne Robbins
