If the 2010 New Orleans Mayor's race were held today who wins the election who
would you vote for.Well
thats what we will find out in our poll and next Sunday we will announce the
results of our election poll. Qualifying for the official 2010 New Orlean's Mayor's election
starts Dec.9 and
the city wide final will be Feb.6 2010.Mayor Nagin is term limited so we will have a
new mayor.John Georges the shipping tycoon is on our poll this year and is an
early favorite. His international business experience could serve the citizens of
New Orleans very well.We have also included the always polite coalition builder
Arnie Fielkow in our poll whose soft touch could be just what the city needs.Eddie
Sapir made our poll as a long shot whose old style of politics may do more harm
then good.Clifford Bryan is on the poll this year ,a political outsider who can challenge the city's political culture , he has a knack for bringing people together which would help in these racially charged
times in New Orleans.Im a team builder and know it will take a team that does not have allot of political baggage, you would not only be electing me but my cabinet members who would be consulted on all major issues. If I have to change the charter to allow a cabinet then I will. This would give citizens confidence in knowing that I am not just making decisions on my own. Lawyer Trevor Bryan would be on the cabinet , some of my former class mates from Benjamin Franklin High School Im sure could pitch in and lend some brain power to get things moving, and members of the city council ,maybe Arnie or Stacy. A long time
New Orleans resident born in New York Clifford says,I have watched from the sidelines as home grown politicians have done their best to rape and pillage the city coffers and I really can not justify sitting on the side lines and not offering a solutions, "right now the biggest issue is crime, its tearing the black community to shreds and it will not be long before it penetrates the white neighborhoods with more violent crime, youth are running New
Orleans , and it will get worse ,If you read the Democracy Corps study which I feel James Carville did a fantastic job on ,the numbers are right about what I would have guessed just based on intuition but it feels great to see it in black and white. The most interesting issue to me was the fact that citizens are mostly concerned with crime and more than half believe the police department is corrupt. Now must of us saw the last Batman movie and New Orleans is starting to look like Gotham City.
The next mayor may have to put on his batman outfit late at night and go on a couple secret missions.
We have a few women in our poll like Helena Moreno who does very well with Spnish and white voters and a few other well known city leaders. We did
not include some other possible candidates like Mary Landrieu's brother only because right now that just seems like more of the "same old same old" group that got us into this mess and they
just can not break free and join the new political culture that is forming in New Orleans.I am sure Mitch is a great guybut until I see different he just seems like a guy who wants to be mayor because his daddy was mayor. No fresh ideas,
no creative policies, just heh I'm Mitch and if you elect me we are going to let the good times roll.We can not afford to let thegood times roll anymore New Orleans. O.K. Cast your vote for Mayor of New Orleans 2010

Update:I have recently received emails from a person at KFA studios wanting Stacy Head added and another person at Waldo Brothers wanting Rob Couhig added to poll .I wonder if you guys bosses know your on the internet, you probably are the boss right, well Stacy Head is on the poll just not in article and running a strong 22% in second to Arnie's 55% of the vote ,the poll is set though and I will not be able to add Rob Couhig even if I wanted to.If there is great demand I will have to start another poll which is unlikely.
