Atlanta’s Glama Queen, Lexi P. Hammonds has come to Dallas partnering with Dallas Modern Luxury and Pink Memo and created a fabulous Movie Release Event for Confessions of a Shopaholic.
The festivities started on Monday, February 9th, with special invites to view the movie before it officially came out in the theatres that Friday. An entire cinema was reserved for special VIPs, including the wonderful Oscar Fierro and his creative team. As we all sat and watched the movie, we giggled because ironically or rather not so ironically, we were looking into a two way mirror; we were looking in, and as we saw Rebecca Bloomwood, we also saw a piece of ourselves in her. Being in the heart of Dallas Fashion pretty much guarantees that we are ALL shopaholics in some form or another. Even though the economy is tight, we still find ways to look fabulous.
On Friday, we celebrated at a one-of-a-kind movie release party hosted by Lexi P. Hammonds, founder of Glama Squad, at the very up-to-the-minute Bengal Coast. The guest list was not short of chic, including Benny Black-owner of Platinum Motor Cars, Stylin Steve from Fox 4 news, Brett Mosser of Oscar Fierro, Bill Knetsch-partner Bengal Coast and many more à la mode faces. The room was filled with a seductive lighting and draped with gorgeous batik swags from the ceiling. Brett Mosser and I mingled amongst the crowd as we sipped on our pink cosmopolitans in honor of the movie. At the end of the night they announced that they were going to present awards for the most stylish guest, and to my surprise they called yours-truly for first place. We ended the night with wonderful swag bags filled with goodies from Sephora, The Lash Lounge, Modern Luxury Magazine, Pink Memo, Lush, CREED, Mocca Cosmetics, McCormick’s and Schmicks, Zaspa (Hotel Zaza), P-3 Labs and Billy Jealousy.
