Any football fans sick of the BCS Championship game?

I'm a Browns writer/fan and have always been a NFL guy first. So the playoff system has always been my preference.
But i'm also a pigskin fan who happens to be very interested in NCAA college football.
I love drama and finality, therefore, the college football season leaves me feeling like I just watched a movie with incredible potential--which then ends suddenly and turns into a "choose your own adventure" movie. You the viewer have to pick the ending of the film. It's the same way with the College football season because nobody knows who the best team in the country is.
ESPN's Rick Reilly does. He says it's the Utah Utes.
And you know what? He's right! The Utes are the only undefeated team in the country, and yet have no chance of being crowned the best team in the land.
America is a capitalist consumer culture--so the only reason why the NCAA wouldn't cater to the demand of so many fans would be if someone else was losing a lot of money.
It's no surprise when you live in this country that everything, and I mean everything, revolves around profit.
What is a surprise, is that the NCAA doesn't see the profit potential if College football were to go to a playoff system. They can absolutely make it happen too. Take the top 8 teams, seed them in a playoff, then let the remaining teams play in "bowl" games. I would rather debate who the number eight team in the country is rather than who is the number one.
So tonight, if you're like me, you will watch BCS championship game with some skepticism. You'll watch the Florida Gators and the Oklahoma Sooners knowing neither may be the best team in the country.
It's not your fault--how would you know?
