Map to South Wsetway Park

South Westway park is a hidden gem for horseback riders in the Indianapolis area. Located on Mann road south of Southport Road to the south of the I465 loop. Just inside the Marion County line at the junctions of Johnson county and Morgan County.

There are no signs identifying the horse trails, but indeed they exist. There are no maps available yet and they are continuing to work on the trails. There is a gravel lot at the trail head at the back of the park area, past the baseball fields. The trails run along the river and behind the main area of the park and the golf course. There are hills and some wonderful views behind the golf course and some flats toward the north along the river. You may run into hikers with dogs or people fishing along the banks. As fall arrives it will be a wonderful place to ride and watch the leaves turn.

3 miles south of I465

8 miles from Beech Grove

6 miles from Southport

10 miles from Greenwood

20 miles from Plainfield
