Ladies, how thrilled would your daughters (or you) be to hear this tidbit of news? Kiowa Gordon, cast as werewolf Embry Call in New Moon, made dozens of teen fangirls happy when he appeared as a special guest at the San Carlos High School graduation in Arizona.
An article in Indian Country Today reveals a snippet from the graduation:
“What character do you play in the movie?’” a young female fan asked as Kiowa Gordon posed for pictures. “Embry Call,” replied Gordon, who was recently cast as one of five werewolves in the upcoming sequel to the blockbuster Twilight called New Moon. The fan screamed excitedly as she ran through the crowd at the San Carlos High School graduation.
Gordon, whose fame is about to shoot to the moon come November 20, spilled some juicy details that fans have been clamoring to hear:
About filming, Kiowa says, “We spend an hour in makeup getting darker and they enhanced our abs,” laughs Gordon. “It was really cold, one degree Celsius. We wore robes before our shoots. All our scenes were outdoors. We had to get in the rain. I’ve had long hair since the seventh grade, to my shoulders. Our hair has to be short when we become werewolves. I had no idea they were going to cut it. Oh man!”
The hype is just beginning, and team vampire vs. team werewolf is the natural continuation of Team Edward vs. Team Jacob.
Also interesting to note is that Embry was portrayed by Krys Hyatt in Twilight, though his role was unaccredited in the ending credits; Hyatt and fellow wolf, Sam, portrayed by Solomon Trimble, were credited simply as "Jacob’s friends.” Neither Hyatt nor Trimble will made a re-appearance in New Moon.
