Fans of “Beverly Hills, 90210,” and the new “90210” can now follow longtime cast member Tori Spelling online with the launch of a new web series, “Mommywood.”
Spelling, who plays Donna Martin on the iconic show, is also an author, a new mom, and the star of “Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood” on the Oxygen network with her husband, Dean McDermott and their children, Liam and Stella. Her best-selling book, Mommywood, has now been turned into 10 three-to-five minute webisodes on Oxygen’s web site, according to Entertainment Tonight.
The webisodes will each feature a chapter of Spelling’s book, focusing on the joys and challenges of parenting in Hollywood, including first-time mom anxieties, dealing with the paparazzi, and losing the baby weight. The first episode, entitled “Unresolved Issues,” spotlights Spelling’s strained relationship with her mother, Candy Spelling.
"Our audience's appetite for everything Tori seems limitless," said Jason Klarman, general manager, Oxygen Media, according to the ET report. "So launching our first Web series based on one of her best-selling books seemed like a no brainer."
