Rev. Jesse Jackson is scheduled to appear at a rally in San Francisco this afternoon. Jackson is currently on a national tour promoting his nonprofit Rainbow/PUSH Coalition's campaign for mortgage relief for homeowners facing foreclosure.
Yesterday Jackson was greeted by a standing ovation at the Antioch Church Family as he spoke about foreclosure relief and what can be done. Jackson said in a statement that "comprehensive solutions" were needed to keep people in their homes. Jackson, along with Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, and other religious and community leaders are putting pressure on lenders to restructure loans in order to avoid foreclosures.
Rev. Jesse Jackson is scheduled to join a rally calling for foreclosure relief this afternoon at the Federal Reserve of San Francisco. The prayer vigil and rally are scheduled to begin at noon.
