Michael Jackson’s death was officially ruled a homicide by the Los Angeles County Coroner. During the past weeks, Michael Jackson’s doctor Conrad Murray has received numerous attention. Dr. Conrad Murray admitted to giving Michael Jackson the deadly combination of drugs that took the singer’s life at just fifty years old. The two drugs determined to have taken Michael Jackson’s life are Propofol and Lorazepam, however, in the search warrant and affidavit, a number of other doctors are mentioned. These doctors have also been linked to providing Michael Jackson with drugs. The one name, that stand out for firmly telling Michael Jackson that she would not deliver him fatal drugs for any price is that of Cherilyn Lee, however, Dr. Conrad Murray discredits those claims in his statement.
When investigators searched Michael Jackson’s home, they found bottles of Valium, Floxmax, (Lorazepam)Ativan, Restoril, and (Diprivan) Propofol. The Propofol was diluted with Lidocaine and was administered to Michael Jackson through an IV drip.
Dr. Conrad Murray stated that he was not the doctor who introduced Michael Jackson to the deadly drug that he would become addicted to. Michael Jackson referred to Propofol as his ‘milk’ and called lidocaine ‘anti burn.’ In Dr. Conrad Murray’s statement he said that he repeatedly asked Michael Jackson the names of his other doctors but that Michael Jackson would not reveal them. Dr. Conrad Murray did say, however, that he saw injection marks on Michael Jackson’s hand and feet and that Michael had told him Cherilyn Lee was giving him a ‘cocktail.’ Dr. Conrad Murray then stated that he believed the ‘cocktail’ was a mixture of propofol. Cherilyn Lee was not the only doctor that Conrad Murray named. He also stated that between March and April 2009, Michael Jackson requested that Conrad Murray call Doctor David Adams in an attempt to gain access to propofol. Dr. Conrad Murray stated that he did make the call and Doctor Adams administered Propofol to Michael Jackson in a cosmetologist’s office.
When detectives searched Dr. Conrad Murray’s doctor bag, they recovered a number of prescription medications that were not prescribed to any patient. The drugs included: Lidocaine, Propofol, Lorazepam, Versed, and Anexate.
In addition to Dr. Conrad Murray, Cherilyn Lee, and Dr. David Adams, Jackson family members released the name of an additional doctor to detectives that they believed was treating Michael Jackson: Dr. Randy Rosen. Detectives determined that Michael Jackson would use a variety of aliases when visiting doctors, and have also determined that Michael Jackson used these aliases when being treated by his dermatologist, Dr. Arnold (Arnie) Klein. A listing of doctors that the Los Angeles County Coroner subpoenaed Michael Jackson’s medical records from includes:
Of Michael Jackson’s doctors, Dr. Conrad Murray is a cardiologist, Dr. Arnold Klein is a dermatologist, Dr. Allan Metzger is a general practitioner, Dr. David Adams is an anesthesiologist, Dr. Randy Rosen is an anesthesiologist, Dr. Larry Koplin is a plastic surgeon and Cherilyn Lee is a nurse practitioner. Due to the vast amount of doctors involved with Michael Jackson, and their ability to prescribe medications, the search warrant was executed. Michael Jackson used various aliases with many of his doctors in order to obtain prescriptions. One alias included the name, Josephine Baker and Jack London.
