On November 6, 2009 approximately 450 people gathered together at Hood Stadium, located in Fort Hood, Texas to pray and remember the victims of the Fort Hood shooting tragedy. The mourners sang songs such as Amazing Grace as they wrestled to find hope in their sorrow.

The tears did not escape the attendees faces as a community came together to remember, honor, and show their support and camaraderie for one another.

Chaplain Douglas Carver played the piano and encouraged the mourners to keep their faith. He spoke to the crowd and reminded them that God is sufficient.

Tonight, the count of the wounded was increased from 30 to 38.
