At the Saturday funeral Mass held for late Sen. Edward ‘Ted’ Kennedy, President Obama delivered a moving eulogy, calling him the “soul of the Democratic Party” and “the lion of the United States Senate.”

He said Kennedy was the "greatest legislator of our time," who accomplished his work not through “deal making and horse trading alone” but by “seeking compromise and common cause” and through “friendship and kindness and humor.”
