On this day, the "elect" comes off our nation's 44th president.

Barack Hussein Obama was sworn in as president of the United States on Tuesday before millions of spectators in Washington, D.C., and a worldwide audience.

From a sartorial standpoint, Obama simply looked presidential, clad in a dark topcoat showing a crisp white shirt and red tie. Obama's attire, not new in terms of the traditional power garb, looked that much more powerful in its simplicity.

Anyone can look good in traditional clothing, you say?

I don't disagree. President Obama, for one, surely wears it well.
