Andre Williams, a 5 foot 11, 202-pound running back at Parkland High School (Allentown, PA) committed to Boston College a couple days ago. Williams, who also held offers from Vanderbilt and Temple,  runs a 4.3 40 yard dash and originally played his high school ball in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Dante Weaver, a 6 foot 2, 320-pound defensive tackle at New Brunswick High School (New Brunswick, NJ) committed to Temple late last night. Weaver was also heavily recruited by Rutgers and Pittsburgh.  Weaver, who is ranked as the 34th best DT prospect by Rivals.com, was also named to ESPN's 150 Players to Watch list.

Jarrod West, a 6 foot 2, 175-pound wide receiver at Liberty High School (Bethlehem, PA) committed to Stanford a couple of days ago. West, who chose the Cardinal over Maryland and Northwestern, caught 27 passes for 500 yards as a junior. The person who threw those 27 passes, naturally, was Anthony Gonzalez. Liberty has an incredibly strong football program, which is evident by the number of Division 1 commitments they have.

Philly.com has their All-City Baseball team up here. Nothing incredibly shocking, except for the fact that there was a player with the nickname of "Ya-Ya" that I didn't know about. For those of you that don't know, there was a character with the nickname of "Ya-Ya" in the timeless classic movie, The Sandlot. You know how people named their kids Shaquille during the 90s and are starting to name their kids LeBron nowadays? I always held out hope that somebody, somewhere, would do the same with "Ya-Ya". While it's not quite a legal name, this'll do. Here's to you, Christian "Ya-Ya" Walker.
