Actress Jennifer Garner worked hard to lose weight after baby Seraphina. To stay slim, Jennifer told a British magazine that she seeks to eat in a way that helps her to feel good -- and sometimes that includes a small taste of chocolate. (Tip: If you're craving chocolate, opt for the highest quality of dark chocolate, which contains antioxidants - learn more with a great recipe by clicking here!)
Jen tries to encourage her 3-year-old daughter Violet to eat right too. Like many moms, though, Jen has discovered that getting her daughter to eat her veggies requires creative cooking! Jennifer has admitted to sneaking spinach, a banana, and mango into a smoothie shake. The result tastes like banana and mango, with intriguing colors that keep Violet gulping down the beverage.
In addition to a healthy diet and attitude toward food, Jennifer makes time for exercise at least twice a week. She's particularly fond of the fitness device known as the ValSlide, which was created by celebrity personal fitness trainer Valerie Waters. These sliding discs go under your feet and make exercises ranging from lunges to push-ups more difficult. Jen calls the exercise tool a "wonder, deceptively simple and incredibly effective."
