This is my favorite time of year in Baltimore. The changing of the leaves, the seasonal foods and most importantly, Halloween.  Baltimore was established in the 18th Century it has since then gained a few ghosts. So if you are in the mood for a dramatic and quite possibly cheesy good time here are some ghost tours around town.

  • Ghosts of the Spirits of Ellicott City - What better way to celebrate this old city than with a walking tour and alcohol? Here you will visit six "spirit" stops. The only date left available is November 12th. The cost is $20 and you'll learn about how that water has been effecting the energy of the town and it's connection to the paranormal.
  • The Ghost Walks in Historic Savage Mill  provide a lesser degree of spirits in that same location (sort of). These tours are on Friday and Saturday nights in October and November. Here you will visit a mill and antique centers for activity. The cost is $10 and discounts are available for kids, seniors and military.
  • Baltimore Ghost Tours is offering the most variety in the way of outings. They have two Fells Point tours and one for Mt. Vernon. One of the Fells Point tours is a pub walk where you can hear about the ghosts that still linger in bars. They are sold out for October but November is still available. The Original Fells Point Ghost Tour takes you to the streets and piers. Beware of the Urban Pirates though! The Mt. Vernon walk takes you through the artsy neighborhood starting at The Belvedere.
  • Annapolis is also in on the ghost game too. A colonial era dressed guide with take you through the streets to visit the 18th Century homes.
