Don't let all this chocolate rot your children's teeth! Trade your candy for cold hard cash!

If you're looking for a way to get rid of all that candy that your children obviously do not need to be eating, do not attempt to eat it yourself!  The calorie count in Halloween candy is scary enough in itself.  But of course, having their bag of Halloween candy mysteriously disappear overnight while they are sleeping or while they are at school is not a solution, either.

Instead, make it fun!  There are various locations in Omaha that will BUY your children's Halloween candy!  Go ahead and let them pick out their favorites, and then take them into some dental offices for some cold, hard cash!

There are two locations in West Omaha that I know of that are buying Halloween candy.  There is Dr. Barbara Ries's practice at 129th and West Dodge Road offering $1 a pound and collecting during business hours from Monday through Thursday.  Today's Dental at 144th and Harrison is offering $2 for every pound and a half, collecting only today from 5-7pm.  The purchased candies are being sent to oversea troops, the Open Door Mission, and other local charities.

So go ahead and take your kids to trade in their candy for cash--tell them their dentist said so!
