Prepare to run entertained at the Detroit Free Press/Flagstar Marathon!

The folks at the Detroit Free Press/Flagstar Marathon know that we Detroiters like our music, so they’ve pulled together a whopping list of musical entertainment for Sunday’s event.
According to a news release, runners can expect to run to the oldies beat with:
- The Shades of Blue at the start line (think National Anthem), plus “Oh How Happy You Have Made Me…”
- Jr. Walker’s All Star Band singing "Roadrunner" in Corktown
- Detriot’s own Contours performing "Do You Love Me?" plus
- Martha Reeves and the Vandellas doing a little "Dancin’ in the Streets" on Rosa Parks Boulevard
- Bill Haley’s Comets at Michigan and Cass, performing "Rock Around the Clock" and other faves
- The Martin Luther King High School Band – sure to rock your socks on Lafayette.
So whether you are running, walking, wheeling, volunteering or just an enthusiastic spectator, you’ll get to hear some great music along the 26.2 miles of the race course.
