In Tokyo, the prices are almost as scary as this statue used to halt auto traffic on a narrow street.

Got a hankerin' for some authentic, ultra-fresh Japanese sushi? You might want to consider heading on over to Benihana rather than booking that flight to Tokyo.

That's because Japan is home to four of the top 10 most expensive cities in the world, according to human resources firm ECA International. Even worse, all four Japanese cities (Tokyo, Nagoya, Yokohama and Kobe) are in the top 5.

Switzerland isn't far behind, with three cities in the top 10, but all three are at the bottom of the list.

Manhattan, the priciest U.S. city, ranks 17th. The cheapest city in the world? Maseru, Lesotho.

Here's the complete top 10:

1. Luanda, Angola

2. Tokyo, Japan

3. Nagoya, Japan

4. Yokohama, Japan

5. Kobe, Japan

6. Copenhagen, Denmark

7. Oslo, Norway

8. Geneva, Switzerland

9. Zurich, Switzerland

10. Basel, Switzerland
