An ABC News report has stated that the senior responsible for the Shaker Heights year book f bomb, has apologized. The student who was in charge of the Shaker Heights yearbook cover design, had taken it upon himself to hide a message containing the f-word in the yearbook cover illustration.
The Shaker Heights principle has sent a letter home with each student, explaining the yearbook f-word cover incident to their parents. Attached to this letter was the apology from the student who was responsible.
The student wrote, " I cannot begin to explain the miserable feeling I brought upon myself, when I betrayed the trust of all of you. I apologize for offending anyone and everyone. It is unfortunate that I did not recognize the big responsibility and honor given to me when asked to design the cover of the Shaker Heights yearbook. I offer my sincere apologies."
Shaker Heights is no longer distributing the yearbook with the f-word on the cover. The yearbooks have been altered to remove the obscenity. The students who have the Shaker Heights yearbook with the f-word on the cover have the opportunity to bring in their yearbook to have the f-word covered. More than likely, most will keep the yearbook as it was issued.
