Much is afloat in the Phish world. Fresh off the heels of the first leg of their summer tour, the reunited Phish are set to release their 12th studio album, Joy. Due to hit the shelves at the end of July, the band recently announced the title of their new album would be Joy, dispelling rumors that it would be titled Party Time.
Produced by Steve Lillywhite, much of Joy has already been road tested in front of many fans eager to hear new material. Only 1 song (“I’ve Been Around”) from the 10-song album has yet reach the ears of the public.
Surprisingly one new song, “Alaska”, has not been included on the new album. Making its debut this summer, “Alaska” won the hearts of many fans and was thought to have made the cut. Download a live version of “Alaska” from the Asheville Civic Center on June 9th here.
In addition to the new studio album, Phish is hitting the road again for 12 more concerts, starting July 30th at Red Rocks Ampitheater in Morrison, Colorado. Phish will also be playing a Halloween festival 10/30-11/1 at a location that has yet to be announced.
Preview almost the entire new album, as performed live on the road between May 31st-June 21st. Download the tracks here.
NOTE: These recordings are audience(AUD) sourced, recorded and distributed in accordance with Phish's Taping Policy. These are not the official recordings available on livephish.com. Source information for each track is included in the download.
