Rebecca St. James to star in upcoming movie, 'Sarah's Choice'

When most people hear the name Rebecca St. James, they think of a GRAMMY and Dove-award winning Christian pop singer from Australia - a talented young woman who is passionate about her faith and her music. Many people know that besides performing gospel music, St. James is also an author, and quite a few are aware that in 2000, she had a cameo appearance in the film Left Behind: The Movie.  So, it should come as no surprise to discover Rebecca St. James is branching out again by starring in her first feature film, Sarah's Choice, releasing in November 2009.

In Sarah's Choice, Rebecca St. James plays a successful, young, single, career woman who learns unexpectedly that she is pregnant outside of marriage.  Well on her way to making her dreams a reality,  "Sarah's Choice" examines the realities of life and the life-altering decisions faced by millions of unwed young women each year as they make choices that lead to unexpected pregnancies and then face the consequences.

In a statement on crossrhythms, Rebecca St. James recently said, "We live in a very real world where scores of young women every day are being impacted by the heart-wrenching issues and life changing choices that my character is suddenly forced to come face to face with. I feel it's an important film with a Godly message that I am praying will profoundly touch lives."

Rebecca St. James - abstinence

Rebecca St. James is known as an advocate for teen sexual abstinence. Her hit single "Wait for Me" from her Transform album reflects her views on abstinence. To promote the song, in 2002, Rebecca released the book Wait For Me: Rediscovering the Joy of Purity in Romance which sold over 100,000 copies. Starring as an unwed mother in Sarah's Choice should be an interesting turn for Rebecca St. James and her fans.
