Ladies and gentleman, sisters and brothers, there is evil afoot.

"Who is the liar?  It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ.  Such a man is the antichrist - he denies the Father and the Son.  No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father." - 1 John 2 : 22-23

Not only is Christianity under attack relentlessly, but there is an overwhelming support of many things anti-Christ.

Greed, corruption, sexual immorality, lust for power and deceitfulness are rampant.

Though we all may be guilty of some of these and other offenses, there is an underlying shame which convicts us.  There is a sense of guilt that accompanies the engagement of this type of behavior.

It is the conscience inherent in the Word that reminds us that there is such a things as "right" and "wrong".  We don't embrace our sinful nature, but rather aim to distance ourselves from it.

Today, in America, we are seeing good ridiculed and debased, while evil is disguised and advocated.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."   Marcus Tullius Cicero

There are people in positions of high authority making decisions that affect millions of others.  Using the guise of "well-wishes" and "equality for all", these people are doing the work of the Enemy, knowingly or not.

Wishing fellow human beings to have access to healthcare is a kind and noble thing.  That, unfortunately, is not where the work is being done.  There appears to be a powerful ideological force that far outweighs these well-wishes.

There is an insatiable appetite for increased power in government which dictates what is right and wrong, what is better for America - apart from the democratic process created by the founding fathers.

The Enemy is at work.  He is alive and well in America.  And, he's doing a magnificent job of blinding the masses, of confusing them into believing in matters very much anti-christian.

Today, my friends, must be the day we wake up from our slumber and reject the evil that is intent in destroying not only America but our own Salvation.

We are either with God or we're not.  We either "rationalize", "intellectualize", and "reason" our way into doing the work of the Enemy, or we denounce it and turn to God for strength in these perilous, confusing, and dark times.  There is no in-between.
