As I said HERE 8 Republicans joined the Democrats and allowed the most massive tax in history to pass the House. Here are the eight and their phone numbers just in case anyone wants to tell them what they think:
Bono Mack (CA) (202) 225-5330
Castle (DE) (202) 225-4165
Kirk (IL) (202) 225-4385
Lance (NJ) (202) 225-5361
LoBiondo (NJ) (202) 225-6572
McHugh (NY) (202) 225-4611
Reichert (WA) (202) 225-7761
Smith (NJ) (202) 225-3765
It will be interesting to see what earmarks payoffs these eight received.
Two Republicans did not vote - Jeff Flake (AZ) and John Sullivan (OK).
Here are the 44 Democrats that opposed the bill with the rest of the Republicans:
Altmire, Arcuri, Barrow, Berry, Boren, Bright, Carney, Childers, Costa, Costello, Dahlkemper, Davis (AL), Davis (TN), DeFazio, Donnelly (IN), Edwards (TX), Ellsworth, Foster, Griffith, Herseth Sandlin, Holden, Kirkpatrick (AZ), Kissell, Kucinich, Marshall, Massa, Matheson, McIntyre, Melancon, Minnick, Mitchell, Mollohan, N e, Ortiz, Pomeroy, Rahall, Rodriguez, Ross, Salazar, Stark, Tanner, Taylor, Visclosky and Wilson (OH)
Unfortunately the names Larson (CT-1), Courtney (CT-2), DeLauro (CT-3), Himes (CT-4), Murphy (CT-5) are missing from the above list. This means no one in the CT delegation to Congress decided to read the legislation before voting for it.
Ted Patrick Kennedy left rehab, where he was being treated for alcohol addiction, to vote for the bill. (Click HERE for more from the Hill).
