In an exclusive interview with WESH 2 News, Casey Anthony’s attorney Jose Baez says there are very compelling reasons for Casey’s actions during the time her daughter Caylee was missing.

Casey is charged with the first-degree murder of 2-year-old Caylee, whose remains were found Dec. 11, 2008, in a wooded area near the Anthony home.

Baez also says he believes Casey did not kill Caylee because Casey has said she is not guilty in court.  He says he has the rest of the story and knows what other evidence is “out there.”

Baez tells Keating he is against the death penalty and the prosecution raising the stakes against his client will not intimidate the defense.

Keating asks why Casey or the defense has not shown outrage at the wrong woman being jailed for a crime she says she did not commit.  Baez responds by saying he has defended his client as vigorously as possible and has done all he can to get Casey the best defense.

Baez also answers questions regarding the smell coming from the trunk of Casey’s car that was described by many as a decomposing body.
