On Monday, Roy Kronk, asked for a protective order so he will not have to turn over certain phone records to Jose Baez, attorney for Casey Anthony.
Last week, Baez filed a motion requesting cell phone records, text messages, Internet usage information, WAP usage, P2P communications, and cell phone tower pings of a number of different people, one of them being Kronk.
Kronk is the utility worker who discovered the remains of Caylee Anthony on Dec. 11, 2008 in a wooded area near the Anthony family home.
WESH 2 News obtained court papers, in which Kronk said Baez’s application for records is “overbroad, and constitutes harassment.”
Kronk’s attorney said the way the subpoena is written, it would allow Baez to invade Kronk’s privacy.
Kronk said he is not opposed to a limited subpoena that could determine if he had any contact with Casey Anthony, the Anthony family, or their private investigators.
A hearing has not yet been scheduled in the matter
Casey is charged with the first-degree murder of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee and her trial is scheduled for Oct. 12.
