Roy Kronk, the utility worker who found the remains of Caylee Anthony's body in December spoke out Tuesday morning on ABC's "Good Morning America."
It has been implied by Leonard Padilla on Nancy Grace's nightly show that Kronk was involved in a "daisy chain" with the private investigators hired by the Anthony family and possibly the Anthony's themselves. Padilla, is a reality television bounty hunter and with public fanfare bailed Casey out of jail in August 2008 when he proclaimed her innocence. He now believes that insiders may have tipped off Kronk as to where to find the remains of Caylee.
Kronk adamantly denied such rumors on Tuesday and stated he had no involvement in such a conspiracy and has never had any contact with the Anthony family. "Nobody tipped me off. I figured this out myself," said Kronk.
The meter reader had called authorities as early as August 2008 informing them he had seen a suspicious bag in the area. Kronk claims, "If you were going to get rid of something like that... it would have been a great place to hide it."
Kronk believes the police may have been hesitant to search the area in August because he had alerted them the location was infested with rattlesnakes. Instead of a thorough investigation, Kronk claims the authorities made a very quick search of the area and then left. In December, police confirmed they had searched the area after Kronk's tip, but most of the location was under water from the summer storm.
Kronk said he returned to the area in December to relieve himself and found the bag with Caylee's remains.
"They've been really hard on me," Kronk said in the interview. "You try to do the right thing, you try to be the nice guy and you just get vilified... I tried to help put a little closure to that poor child."
To date, Caylee has not had a proper burial and her remains are being kept at a funeral home in Orlando. Her mother, Casey Anthony, 22, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with her death.
