The popular book series, Twilight has now made it to the halls of Oxford University.  The Telegraph is reporting that students applying to Oxford University were asked a question about Twilight by Stephenie Meyer during the rigorous admissions process.

Mansfield College's Lucinda Rumsey explained that most applicants for English Literature will focus on the books they have read in school as preparation for their college interview.  The college is interested in what students may think about books they have read on their own time, for fun.  Interviewers for admission will ask questions that invite the students to analyze and think critically.

Here is the question that was asked in the interviews for applicants in English Literature:

"Why might it be useful for an English student to read the Twilight series?"

Whether or not you are a fan of the series, how might you answer the question?

The Twilight book series is currently being adapted to film with the second installment of four, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, expected in theaters November 20.
