Anita Dunn, the White House Communications Director who waged a war with Fox News and praised Chinese Communist Mao Tse-Tung, is calling it quits.
Dunn, whose time atop the communications perch was supposed to be only temporary, is stepping down at the end of November.
Dunn will return to the private sector but remain a consultant to the Barack H. Obama Administration.
Dan Pfeiffer, Dunn's deputy, will take her place. Dunn replaced Ellen Moran in the post earlier this year when Moran left to take a place at the Commerce Department.
Dunn's leaving will give the White House the opportunity to cease the war with Fox News.
Fox outperformed all the cable news networks combined for its Election Night coverage last week.
In a June speech, Dunn said the "two people I turn to most" were Mother Teresa and Mao Tse-Tung. She barely discussed the late nun, but waxed at length about the lessons Mao had taught her. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704597704574487431322664964.html
