'Jericho' concepts that CBS would likely accept

Possible cast of 'CSI: Jericho'

In thinking of a holiday gift for my fellow 'Jericho' rangers, I determined that a list of alternative concepts for the show that CBS would likely accept would hopefully bring a smile to their faces and those of the rest of you.

1. "CSI: Jericho" Jake gets trained as a forensics expert and returns to Jericho to solve murders in this no longer serene community.

2. "Survivor: Jericho" a group of contestants compete to survive in a community that a nuclear attack has devastated; each week, someone gets voted off and must move to New Bern.

3. "Worst Year" Stanley's good-natured but bumbling efforts to assist with reconstruction efforts always cause damage.

4. "How I Met Your Maker" The character who I believe had a very justifiable death in Season Two narrates a new story each week in which this character relates various close encounters with death that occurred before the actual death.

5. "Two-and-a-half Farmers" Jake and Eric buy a farm and run it with the surly unappealing teenage boy that Jake discovered that he fathered before he left Jericho the first time.

6. "Kansas" Townsfolks break into "Oklahoma" style musical numbers as they try to rebuild their lives. "My crops may be aglowin', but that don't stop the raiders from showin'."

I hope that you enjoyed this attempt at both light and dark humor, and I would love to hear some of your suggestions. Please feel free to add comments to this entry or e-mail me at tvdvdguy@gmail.com.
