A cold front will swing through this afternoon, and many of you will hardly notice.  Severe storms will break out once again near New York City and New England   The Storm Prediction Center has a slight risk of storms with large hail and damaging winds.  The risk areas (in yellow), are broken down with storm chances in the slide show below.
The chance of showers and storms may clip northern Maryland, but our best chance is for clouds and a shift in the wind. Behind that, the cool weather pattern will return.  An upper level Low in south eastern Canada will once again bring in below normal temperatures for the rest of the week.  So after a near normal day today (87F), we may struggle to reach 80F for a few days.

Still no heat to be found in the same areas.  Check out my report on the lack of heat recently for many parts of the nation.

Check back later for some awesome 4th of July fireworks pictures from New York.  It will be worth the visit.
