Passengers stop for a picnic before reboarding the Strasburg rail train

Are you visiting Pennsylvania on vacation? Or wondering how to entertain the family over the summer and Fourth of July holiday? A visit to the Strasburg Rail Road and Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania is sure to delight all ages.

The museum offers year round intrigue and special events, such as Thomas and Friends kid activities earlier this month (and again in September and December). However for the Fourth of July holiday weekend unique activities for the whole family will discuss the Reading Railroad.

After exploring the museum visitors can enjoy a 45 minute steam locomotive trip and even stop en route to soak up the beautiful Lancaster countryside.
